Stella and I,
I took our new puppy Stella to the Borodino parade Sunday. J.Green who has her own web site managed to take a couple of pictures of Stella and me. She was a bad puppy and would not hold still so I had to take her home. These pictures are in My Gallery on the right side of this blog under animals. Hopefully I’ll be able to insert them here in this post.

MEMORIAL DAY
( More than just a day off work )
M is for the memory we have of those who put their lives on the line to give us the freedom and privilege of living in this blessed nation….
E is for the enduring gratitude we have for the sacrifices these men and women make for those who stayed at home….
M is for the merit we recognize in those who serve our nation when such service comes at such a high price….
O is for the obedience we honor when those in uniform follow orders that may, and many times do, cost them their lives….
R is for the reverence we give to the thoughts we have on this day, or any day, when we remember those who give so much….
I is for the integrity we salute when those in uniform stand up for all of us even when some of us do not stand up for them….
A is for the allegiance we have to the nation that these brave warriors fight and die for….
L is for the love that goes with those who are in harms way, and who have paid the ultimate sacrifice for you and me….

A new Puppy,
Good news . We have a new puppy. Mom and Mary Jane drove up to Malone,NY to our other sister’s and visited for the weekend of May 3, and picked up our new puppy Stella. This is a first as we haven’t had a new puppy just a few weeks old in many a year. She is a handful and very rambunctious. I don’t have all the pictures downloaded yet that have been taken of Stella since we got her so will insert the picture that the people whom we bought her from supplied.
Maybe I can get this correct this time. On the 25th of April we had to have out beloved Schnauzer, Amy put to sleep. She was a pretty sick doggy and she passed away in my hands as the veterinarian administered the medicines.Amy was my Mom’s little doggy and everyone took this very hard.Here’s her picture. I hope.

There are no words to express the profound sadness and yet great…pride, honor, appreciation, humility, indebtedness, glory, at the sacrifice of this young man. Know that this story will be retold at least from one pulpit this next Sunday and that the prayers of at least one Church will go out for the family and friends of this great soldier.”
